I don't like the bashing of....
She didnt have the speed on the landing of the lutz for it to be easy for her to complete it cleanly....but last nights performance i thought was a little lackluster. It wasnt bad but definently wasnt her best.
Its not bashing Kimmie. I do think shes a better skater then Emily except Emilys spirals are better but Kimmie's performance last night was a little shaky in many areas. Its unfortunate for Rachel because her combo was clearly clean and Kimmie's wasnt. I have seen Kimmie do clean triple triples but this was not one. She didnt have the speed on the landing of the lutz for it to be easy for her to complete it cleanly. Its only critisizing her performance and the triple triple which was clearly not one. I like watching Kimmie and think shes an awsome talent but last nights performance i thought was a little lackluster. It wasnt bad but definently wasnt her best.
After watching Emily's performance, i don't understand what the fuss is really about. That's NOT 'carman'!
But I found a disturbing pattern that people are so quick to either pile on or hype a skater. After watching Emily's performance, i don't understand what the fuss is really about. That's NOT 'carman'! She is really bad. I think Kimmie did much better that Emily.

I like this kid. Exactly what Sarah Hughes skated like at that age...or come to think of it, at any age. It's about time another skater emerged with a flip jump that looks like she's kicking a football.Rachel Flatt is only 14 so I don't thing she's age elgible for 4 cs.
I haven't seen Flatt's performance yet but Kimmie's Triple Toe is the most cheated 3Toe I've ever seen ratified. What an idiot tech caller.

Stop the bashing.
Kimmie was bland
Emily was determined
Rachael was cheerful
Bebe was divine.
The SP is over! a new figure skating princess of the USA will be heralded tomorrow.

I don't see how anyone can say that Ashley Wagner didn't earn her spot on the junior worlds team.Even more disappointing from the USFS International assignment page, Flatt is not being sent to Jr Worlds....top three Junior ladies are assigned, rather than Flatt. Shame on the USFS.
I don't see how anyone can say that Ashley Wagner didn't earn her spot on the junior worlds team.
Besides finishing third at U.S. junior nationals, Wagner competed on the full ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. She won each of the two evenmts she was assigned to, scoring the two highest totals of anyone in the world except Caroline Zhang.
She won the Courchevel event with a score of 134.95, the Hague event with 133.98 and the silver medal in the Junrior Grand Prix Final with a score of 142.01. (Recall that the potential scores for junior programs are lower because of the smaller number of required elements and shorter skating times).
The shame would have been if Ashley's season had been brushed aside because of one pretty good performance at the senior level by Rachael.
