wev'e already named all the ice fashion fux pas that were commited this season. I must say not as bad as some seasons. But now lets give the skater who did it right some credit. Only This seasons costumes please.

My vote for a great costume- Vise and Trent's LP costumes

Tiny has already recommended it as the ugliest one as it makes her look like a tropical bird instead of a Geisha.

ohhhh, i forgot about Mao's SP dress. it is beautiful. Like a fairy. The canadian's freedance outfits are also perfect. they match the music very well and the program.

once again, carolina's looks like it would be happier in a aviary, but we are all intitled to our own opinions.

This one for sure - Nakano's new costume for her "Cinderella" FP. It's exquisite and that program is such a winner for her. The music (Prokofiev) is wonderful and the choreography fits it so beautifully.

I like that dress. It doesn't really fit the music, but I think its really cool and it looks great on her!

My favorite costume of the year, I think, is that lovely white one that Kimmie Meissner used for her SP earlier in the season. I don't know why she switched to the light blue one for Nationals because IMHO the white one was so perfect. If fit the music and it was really flattering on her, clean and classy while still being youthful. I usually hate white dresses on the ice, but Kimmie's was sheer perfection.

I have not been crazy about any of the men's costumes this year, so I can't pick a favorite. In Pairs, S&Z's Meditation costumes is my favorite. For dance I would have to say Gregory & Petukhov's "Adam & Eve" FD costumes are the best, they fit the theme well and are not overly fussy or distracting.

Hughes? i think her SP dress is Okay, but it dosen't really say Carmen to me. Her LP dress is Okay again, but not right at all for her body type. He would look so much better with sleeves. think Michelle Kwan Navy Blue velvet dress that she wore for Bolero.

I also like French D&S's noir Bonnie & Clyde costumes. Very simple and appropriate and they certainly stand out in the current drifting rag trend.

Marie-France's "original" Original Dance dress was fabulous - the white "daisy" appliques. I hope she brings it back for another program, it would be a shame to waste it.

To answer the original question, :yes: that's the dress I was referring to. ITA that Carolina's dress is beautiful (cool) and looks great on her and one of the reasons I love it is because it's not the type of dress one might think of when told that Carolina's music is from Memoirs of a Geisha.

It would be the predictable thing to do to show up in a kimono styled dress but I think it's nice that Carolina did not. Not to mention that from reading posts from Japanese fans around the net most of the time when the ladies do wear kimono type costumes it causes comment that the dress is not made properly, too short etc....

IMO that dress is couture figure skating style.

I am sure he would love it hear that. Also wondering if he designed his costume for Nationals LP?? Love it!!! I have not been too impressed with any of the Ladies costumes.

IIRC Johnny only designed Denis' shirt for their FD costumes

but I agree they are lovely and tasteful considering the theme of the FD

I also love their OD costumes... she could wear anything and be drop dead gorgeous though
