Yeah, that‘s another way to get views. Make the fans of the two most well known stars watch despite them not competing.

The only thing that interests me now, though: Will we get to see them skate? Not competitively but is there an exhibition or something like that?

That‘s fine with me. I wasn‘t expecting either of them to be at the event so actually seeing them skate is a pretty great surprise!

Do we know how the teams will be chosen yet? I suppose there must be some kind of system to make sure they‘re both equally strong and it comes down to who performs best at the given day (more exciting that way)

And on another note: Kamila will indeed not go to Junior Nationals. Nothing about Daria or Maiia so far, though.

Don't know exactly, but the 1tv article says this:

"Команды будут сформированы в результате жеребьевки, которая пройдет в прямом эфире на ресурсах Первого".

So, in English: "The teams will be formed by the result of the draw, which will be a live broadcast on channel 1."

I don't know what the word ресурсах ("resources") means here, but I doubt it changes the meaning of the sentence.

By resources they probably mean that it might not be 1TV Russia as a TV channel specifically, or not just 1TV Russia but also other channels they have.

I believe it means it might not be on TV, but on their website or YouTube for example. They often stream things live on there.
They also have channel 1 in different countries, so perhaps they plan to show this competition in their channels abroad?

I usually don't care about the ladies outfits. For all I care they might as well skate in bunny suits. But Maria here has the perfect dress, and those black hands is just exquisite. Totally Maleficent.

Far from great, pretty average skate imo.
Uliana Vasilieva is great artistic talent with jumping problems. She had beautiful program 2 years ago showcasing her performance skills.
