I would think that if Alena skates clean, even without a 3axel, she would place over Liza due the quality of her overall skating.
I like both, and it’s unfortunate that one will be left off the team. But it’s sport, and these girls are all prepared for victory and defeat.

Interesting that RusFed apparently said Kseniia had no right to participate in RCF... I mean honestly I don't find it to be too incorrect (and I say this with Kseniia being one of my favs) since by all technicalities she did not participate at the stages required to go to RCF. But yet Davis/Smolkin get to go and they didn't compete at any stages either? Hmmmmm that makes me a bit mad.

I totally agree. And that goes for Gubanova too...

According to this:

Gulyakova has withdrawn and Sultanmagomedova is in.

Are Davis and Smolkin competing as juniors or seniors?

They also said she didn't apply for the competition, so it doesn't matter that much.

I can't help myself...so here is my predictions for senior ladies.

1. Kamila Valieva
2. Daria Usacheva
3. Maiia Khromykh
4. Alëna Kostornaia (she needs to prove me wrong, but I think Maiia will finally land her quad, and Alëna might have some mistakes)
5. Elizaveta Tuktamysheva
6. Elizaveta Nugumanova
7. Maria Talalaikina
8. Ksenia Tsibinova
9. Anna Frolova
10. Sofia Samodurova
11. Kamila Sultanmagomedova
12. Anastasia Tarakanova

If Ksenia Sinitsyna would have been there, I would have had her 3rd!

Poor Anastasia! Nobody has any faith on her. I hope she proves everyone wrong 😑
So, you think Ksenia would have been the best Senior at this event. That only makes me more sad that she isn’t there.

I really want Nastya Tarakanova to do great but given her recent skate and Sultanmagomedova's, I think I have to agree with putting Sultanmagomedova over her for now. Hopefully she can skate a clean SP and FS finally!

And honestly I do think Kseniia could've been the highest scoring senior here (if she landed the quad she might have been second!) given she looked pretty good at her recent competition. But I hope she does amazingly at her next competition with two clean programs and a quad and pushes herself not only into the GP conversation but also the Olympic conversation!

Well don't they train the US, perhaps they didn't think they could travel back and forth quarantine, quarantine multiple times without inhibiting their training and applied for an exception to the Fed and she didn't ask for an exception.

How did they pick Sultanmagomedova to get in? She only competed in 1 Cup event and didn't compete at either junior or senior nationals.

She was the first in line at Senior Nationals and could have replaced Shulskaya when she dropped out. But it was either too late, or Sultanmagomedova just wasn't ready.
