Apparently Katia will be with Lorenzo Magri at Worlds.

According to Polish Figure Skating Association at Worlds Ekaterina Kurakova will be accompanied by Lorenzo Magri (with whom she was working a lot this season). Also Sylwia Nowak-Trębacka (coach from her home club MKS Axel Toruń) will have an eye on her.

Katia now lists Lorenzo Magri as her coach, but it remains to be seen whether it's a permanent thing or only a temporary arrangement:

Katya explained to a fan that she is still coached by Orser. She has just decided to take the responsibility off Orser for Worlds, because she has not trained with him in a year

In the short program at Worlds 2021 Ekaterina fall on her 3Lz and made a mistake at 2A. She had impressive step sequence but didn’t make it to the finals. Katia will fight for the Olympic qualification at Nebelhorn Trophy in September.

Ontario is in completely lockdown for at least the next 4 weeks.
Government plans to have all adults who want one vaccinated with at least one dose before Canada Day (July 1) and fully done by September.

oooo i think she would be more successful in pairs than singles. She underrotate lot of cascade jumps and in pairs she would be better!

Katia Kurakova is going to take part in gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of her home club MKS AXEL. Event will take place in Toruń, Poland, with no audience. Broadcast by Polish channel TVP Sport on May 12 at 3.15 pm local time.

Is she not planning on returning to Canada to train then? I wonder if she will permanently switch to Lorenzo Magri as its closer to home and traveling from Poland to Italy is far easier in this current covid world and cost of training will be far lower than in cricket club under Orser.

Either way hopefully where ever she ends up training, she can return to her 19-20 shape and win an olympic spot at Nebelhorn Trophy!
