I'm pretty sure it's a logistics thing ?

I makes no sense to send Pluskenko to three different competitions. He already had Zinina and Sarnovsky in Linz, so he would be going anyway, while he only had Muravieva in Ljubljana.
Also, I think Titova is going to Cup of Russia stage 1 and he will probably go with her, so he can't be both in Syrzan and Lujubljana on the same weekend.
Well then swapping Zhilina and Myravyova the 2nd time between each other makes no sense, since it doesn’t mean anything for their logistics, does it?

Did they swap them ? On the ISU website Zhilina is still going to Gdansk with Akatieva. For Linz it's still Zinina and Samodelkina (who will obviously be replaced, presumably with Muravieva).
Wasn't that the original plan ?

I know someone already said that Liza is going to the first stage of the Russian Cup, but I saw something on maybe Instagram that said Sasha was going to be there too? Does anyone know if thats true?

Yeah it’s true. They will both be there.

Hope you are right. And I don’t believe Eteri would sabotage Sasha but 3 back to back to back weeks of across the world competitions is crazy to say the least.
One could easily suspect that they are very aware Sasha has mental issues around competing and their remedy is exposing her to as much competition as possible before the ones that actually matter start.
Of course it could backfire physically but there is never an ideal solution

I really hope she aimes for the senior competition at the Russian Cup. With that skate she could be a qualifier.
I hope so, because I was surprised she was left off the JGP selections. Perhaps that was the track she chose. I actually looked for her in the entries for stage 1. ❤️

did you manage to read my post, which you replied to originally, in full? :) because that’s exactly what’s written in my post

Yes, they did swap them. Well, at least Plushenko says they did.
I was not commenting on removal of Muravyova from Ljubljana at all.

She finished 17th at junior nationals and 22nd at novice championships. Also never before scored any significant result. She obviously improved just during the last several months, but putting her into the JGP selections based on previous results would mean to include all those who finished ahead of her and were junior eligible.

Well, they selected Kostornaya while she had the same results. It's the same kind of performance in the same kind of competition that got her the jgp. She wasn't even an alternate before that.

The difference for Dmitrieva is that there are only 3 jgps and 6 spots left. And all skaters with those spots can qualify for the final.

Kostornaya had the luck to have been selected when there was 4 stages left and that fed couldn't already calculate who had the most chances to get in jgpf.

I think it wasn't better than any of JGP top 6.

Yes, and if I understand it all correctly, if she qualifies for senior nationals, she automatically qualifies for juniors too...if she wants it.

All you knowledge geeks, can anyone tell me what happened to Sofia Depska , she was a promising novice a while back. Was a beautiful skater. Where did she disappear too? Anyone know ? Thanks
