As I've mentioned earlier, I can't upload any current Olympic videos, otherwise I risk losing my Dailymotion and Streamable accounts, but I did take a screencap of the clip where Roman is being held by his teammate in the hope that someone outside of Canada who is geoblocked from watching Roman's interview is able to identify who it is (the consensus on the Canadian thread is that it's either Michael Marinaro or Nikolaj Sørensen, but it's difficult to say which one).Tough night for Roman. Definitely not how he wanted his Olys to go. I'm sure the uncertainty of Keegan's situation wasn't easy for Roman. Chin up and look to the individual event. (Video geoblocked for me)
But as painful as this is, he's still the future of Canadian mens skating and this experience is invaluable. Just imagine where he'll be by the next Olympics. And no matter how he skated, he is an Olympian and that will never change! It shows probably how difficult it is when you focus on a number of competitions, to add another one in the middle. Even Kamila Valieva fell though she was probably told earlier.Heartbreaking short program for RomanBut as painful as this is, he's still the future of Canadian mens skating and this experience is invaluable. He said that he does plan to keep skating!Do we know if Roman intends to stay for 2026? I so hope he does!
