I'm on the verge of falling asleep (tonight was very stressful for me, which isn't good for my ongoing health problems), but I wanted to share Roman's post-TE FS interview with CBC TV, where he said that it felt like he was skating in someone else's body. There's a very brief clip near the end where you see one of his teammates (it's hard for me to tell which guy it is because my brain is shutting down right now) cradling Roman's head while Roman cries into his chest. 
I just thought it was a touching moment where the team is providing him with emotional support after what has been a nightmarish Olympics for him.

As I've mentioned earlier, I can't upload any current Olympic videos, otherwise I risk losing my Dailymotion and Streamable accounts, but I did take a screencap of the clip where Roman is being held by his teammate in the hope that someone outside of Canada who is geoblocked from watching Roman's interview is able to identify who it is (the consensus on the Canadian thread is that it's either Michael Marinaro or Nikolaj Sørensen, but it's difficult to say which one).
I just wish I knew for certain who it was because I want to give proper credit to the teammate who comforted Roman in such a tender way (with an intrusive TV camera nearby, no less) after he had a catastrophic long program. I'm sad to say that I've known plenty of people who are happy to trample on others when they're down (and we've of course encountered some of them on this forum), so I was really moved seeing this moment.
There's no denying that Roman is by far the weakest link in Team Canada, but I'm very relieved that none of his teammates appear to be angry at him because he endangered the team's chances to qualify for the FS, or that he definitely cost them a chance (however small) at getting the bronze medal. Whether it was Mike or Nik who cradled Roman in their arms, I think they're a total sweetheart, and they displayed team spirit at its best. Maybe I'm just overly emotional, but that was a really beautiful, heartwarming gesture to me.

A reporter in Beijing filmed a very short clip of Roman during practice, and he said that Roman looked focused and had a good session. Hopefully this is a good omen for the SP.
Just for fun, I found a recent fanvid of Roman which contains a lot of clips of him smiling, and I sincerely hope that we get see his bright, beautiful smile after he completes the SP.

But as painful as this is, he's still the future of Canadian mens skating and this experience is invaluable. Just imagine where he'll be by the next Olympics. And no matter how he skated, he is an Olympian and that will never change!

It shows probably how difficult it is when you focus on a number of competitions, to add another one in the middle. Even Kamila Valieva fell though she was probably told earlier.Heartbreaking short program for Roman

Do we know if Roman intends to stay for 2026? I so hope he does!

So sad for Romsky. He's one of the most beautiful current skaters and deserves better. Hope he can can get through this, rethink whatever is necessary and come back with a bang, because his skating is beautiful.

I couldn't help but notice that Roman and Nikolaj Sørensen were standing next to each other while cheering for Gilles & Poirier's RD, and the two men seemed to exchange a few words after the moment shown in this screencap. Since it was Nik (yes, this has been confirmed) who cradled Roman while the latter was sobbing after the TE FS, does this mean we might have a new bromance in Canadian skating (or at least Nik is treating Roman sort of like a younger brother)? Nik obviously didn't have to sit next to Roman after completing his RD (Nik could've chosen to sit next to Keegan on the lower level which is not included in this pic, for instance), so it looks to me that he wanted to keep Roman company.
Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part (I guess I just like the idea of Roman having a friendship that's kind of similar to what Nam and Keegan share), but if Nik and Roman did form a bond at these Olympics, then I think it's cute that these two have found common ground (at the very least, they're both the sensitive type and both have cried in front of a TV camera---Nik shed a lot of tears in a recent Skate Canada interview, in case some of you didn't know what I was talking about) despite the decade-wide age gap between them.
