2022 Winter Olympics: Rhythm Dance

KALISZEK Natalia / SPODYRIEV Maksym (POL)

A team with more precision and more difficult transitions than I've seen so far. The transitions could be more fluid and effortless but it should mark them above the other teams thus far in composition. A fairly secure lift to open, though I think there was hiccup by Natalia in the midnight blues where it seemed she got a bit stuck. The beat is also so heavy in the second half of the program that the movements could be sharper.

french CBC commentator : i like the street dance team... the analyst : well... it's okay but it's quite abstract... it is nice when programs tell a story (talking in general, not about a specific team)...

i guess that's sort of true... but i'd say that i don't care if a cha cha or a tango doesn't tell a story... i get the dance... the street dance is indeed very abstract unless someone manages a disco or a hip hop properly... which is not happening that often... oh well... we are almost through this season of awful RD theme...

I love the Poles when they really bring the quirk, and they brought enough quirk here for a couple of teams. They never do get rewarded for it, which sort of sums up just how conservative ID can be.

Technically they weren't quite as sharp as they usually are, but glad to see them in first. They deserve to be.
