Generally it is. Esp Bates/Chock. Honestly all the attention is on Madison. Do you ever look at the guy? Even if you do once in a while, he is just looking at the ice.

But, Bates is a better technical skater than Madison. The current couple also has this same dynamic. The man skates well and the woman performs. However, this isn't true of many teams. In FB/ S's case he's just beautiful, a good partner and she's an incredible athlete and skater.

That's not all teams just this one. He's beautiful but she's the one with all the skills.

And here, with Step/Buk, we have the opposite IMHO. He is excellent, she is more, ah, “decorative”

I think this early 2000s style suits S/B well. Visually they’re great. Their skating skills and power are not on par with the very top teams though.
