Wow! Jia. That deserves first place. She is so solid with her technique. I can see her landing more difficult jumps in the future. What a marvelous skater from Korea. Only level 3 in the step sequence. Might make a difference for gold medal.

isabeau : i don't like how she reaches so much to plant her toe pick... it makes her vault high enough but then the jump has no trajectory nor flow on landing.

Clean skate, she looks happy. Bit more laboured jumps than Shin, but Levito had a lead from the SP

FS: 70.84+63.21 = 134.05, 206.55, 1/24

she does + loop and +eu/salchow combos... so if she doesn't do the 3toe alone, she runs out of jumps?

Meh, Shin Jia was better. Levito skating last did her no favors as it is painfully obvious she has the worst jumps in the group. Like her spin and musicality, though.

Fair,I think. Could have gone either way. Jia and Isabeau are both amazing with different strengths.

I think Isabeau will eek it out with PCS. But, her jump technique is wonky and her Euler into salchow was cringe. Let’s see what happens.

Personally I would've given the gold to Jia. Isabeau has beautiful spins and wonderful commitment to the music, but that jump technique and the slow entries really need more work...
