Wow

This is turning out to be quite a competition. I did not expect this at all. Hopefully the USA will keep 3 spots.

I wish Rochette had gone for the 3/3. That was the whole point of putting it in all season. And she did a really good job on it at 4CC (I didn't think it deserved the downgrade there). Oh well, at least she didn't totally put herself out of contention in the short, which is what she's done in the past. The LP is usually her stronger suit.

well I am taking a break for lunch. I will try and log on at home while eating my lunch. If not, then see everyone after lunch!!!

Being ahead of Miki in the SP finally is a victory in itself. She should have beaten her in the SP at 4CC too.

Mao - impressive jumps. But artistically I am still missing something.. She has no magic to me. Arm work is not the best. She has long way to go to reach Kwan's, Cohen's a Lu Chen's level.. Maybe when it will come with age, because she has the ability, that's for sure.

She was a couple of beats off tempo from her music. At least that's how it appeared on what I was watching but could have been from poor streaming quality.

The other thing to consider is that Joannie always performs better when she's kinda behind, and defensivly when she's ahead, so it might not be too bad she's not ahead of the rest, but I really hope she skates in the final group

Now, US fan, pray for Kimmie.:)
well done, on Babe and Ashley so far.
I miss Ashley's pony tail wagging when she does spin ^^.

when is the final group skating?

nevermind...its now, i think...hurry..i have to go in 15 mins

I'm soo behind :( Im watching everything on delay so I just watched Marchei and Gedevanishvili.. Valentina was sooo robbed, she was better than Bebe IMO and I loved Elenes program but she was off.

Looking at the standings. Melinda Wang from Taipei will make it to the LP skating 6th out of 50+ girls. THats pretty amazing.

Ok, but Kostner did a mistake too, and I am not even convinced that her lutz was fully rotated

They showed the replay on eurosport and it was indeed completely rotate (not even a quarter turn short).

I really don't think judges wanted to put kostner first, since they gave her more than one point less than Mao in pcs...
It is just that the lutz was the only deduction, while Mao got level 1 spiral, edge call on lutz and level 2 in combo spin. She lost quite some points here and there unfortunately. i bet she'll be back even stronger for the LP
