2025 JGP Riga Women's Short Program

Not trying to hype her up too much, after all, this is going to be her first Junior season, but another young German skater, Diana Ziesecke was mighty impressive at Test Skates. They'll probably be better than the Senior women, even with some new skaters moving up now.
edit: read wrong haha

Didn't see this as it was happening and only checked out US women just now. Sherry is usually a strong jumper so I was surprised to see two jumps issues especially the combo which really brought her score down. East of Eden? That took moxey but she pulled it of. Angela was fine.

The Loop just isn't a friendly jump for a lot of the baby Canadians right now. Funnily enough, Camila would have most likely done better with the Lutz or the Flip as the required solo jump, despite them being "more difficult" on paper.
Agreed. There are a few with a stronger Lutz (the required jump for next season).

Alice Smith is adorable. Is she available for adoption?
She doesn't have a fan fest yet. I was thinking about starting one, but I haven't had time to look into how to do tables in posts on here (which I understand from @CaroLiza_fan is a requirement for the first post). If you want to go ahead and start one yourself, that's fine. :) It would save me time! I feel that she's done enough now to justify a fan fest. She was consistent last season and was our only junior girl to gain the CTES before the entry deadline for Junior Worlds (Leila Pattern gained hers just after the deadline). With a junior first and bronze at our last two national championships, junior worlds experience, and now a top 10 on the JGP, I feel she is starting to establish herself. At Latvia, she outperformed all the GBR senior ladies who competed this week at our August qualifier and the Robert Cousins Cup. I think she has a lot of potential and hopefully she and Leila Pattern will push each other to excel.

Tables are kinda needed for displaying results, but they do not need to be really complex. When I first started doing Fan Fests, the tables I had in them were really simple. And they did the job perfectly well. The format of my tables have evolved over the years as I became more confident in what I was doing. But, they didn't actually need to evolve. Other Fan Fest owners use simpler tables, and they work fine.

As I said, making a Fan Fest is easy if you make out the post in Word, and then copy and paste it into the forum.

I agree, Alice has been doing a great job. As for Leila, I have rated her since she was competing in Novices for Bulgaria. They are both stars in the making. So, I am looking forward to seeing how things develop with them.

I am a great believer in having two skaters (or partnerships) pushing each other forwards.

Thoughts after watching replays.

Good debut for Angela Shao and Jiyu Huh 👏

It's great to see skaters I know getting stronger. Anna Gerke was a standout to me. As soon as I saw her take on Dune, I thought a little bit about Smart & Dieck's Dune. Then it turns out she was inspired by them and her coach is Tim's mother. I wish skaters would wait at least one year before the copycat programs begin, but I decided to find her admiration for them adorable. It helps that I am a big fan of Olivia & Tim. Her jumps look bigger. Elizabeth Dibbern and her new PB was notable as well. Liked the sensitivity of expression in her program. I did not remember Elizabeth. Little Alice Smith has also clearly improved. I sort of like her brilliant orange flapper dress, and I appreciate that her step sequence maintained the style throughout.

I'm sorry for going off topic, but you are showing dogs like in the movie "Best in Show"? How fun! What breed is your dog? Have fun!

Skating related, I am so disappointed that Sofia Titova w/d. I hope she isn't injured. I really wanted to see what her skating looks like now. Bummer. Good luck for the next competition.
Dont want to bother people like Azikin with my personal issues so I will PM you.
