Good to see that figure skating choreographers have finally discovered Sting, as evidenced by the fact we have a few skaters skating to "Englishman In New York" this season (Deniss Vasiljevs, Dillon Judge).

Now we need them to discover his original version of "Roxanne"...

I think Deniss should go the Jason Brown route. Use that artistry to gain points. His spins are excellent. Especially during the short program.

In other news, Deniss finally got himself a proper grippy ponytail holder! Perhaps Jason gave him advice (I don't remember Jason's ponytail ever falling out).

You're probably right, I do hope he didn't! The training situation has been up in the air for him, earlier this season he went to Italy? But he seems to be back with Team Crystal again now.

Yeah I read that he got lost on the way to Italy and was very homesick/stressed there, just some very worrying interviews where he kept reiterating that he wasn't planning on going to Worlds "as a tourist" (as his coaches apparently kept asking him)

There are quite a few Sting songs I really like, but Englishmen is not on my top list... and I think the thing about this song is that it is so relaxed. It feels like someone sitting in a café with a croissant. When someone does it so expressively like Deniss did, it doesn't fit the song very well imo.
