It's what US broadcasters think people want to see, but it's really not, and it's a cycle that continues to annoy people to no end.

For the Olympics, for the world feed, not controlled by the US, the practice cam showed Nathan and Yuzuru, Yuzuru and Nathan, no one else, even when other skater's music was playing.

I don't think it is limited to one country.
