2024 World Championships Women's Free Skate

Congrats to the women who finished on the podium!
A special congrats to Kaori on her "Three-peat" as the World Champion! Nicely done and we deserved!

To anyone who was upset or offended by any post I made about Amber, I apologize, as that was NOT my intention. I think Amber is a very talented skater, I only want to see her succeed, and celebrate her success.
Apology accepted. Knowing her struggles, I needed to stand up for her. Sorry if I was harsh. Hopefully now more of us are aware of her battles, we can find a way to encourage and support her on her quest for that so-far elusive perfect skate.

Thank you Isabeau and Amber-3 US spots next year.

Kaori was superb. The program is so different for her but she was so determined and well trained. I'm happy for her.

What a brilliant, commanding performance from Isabeau. Just delightful. Good for her, South Jersey girl.

So impressed with the little mighty might Chayeon Kim. She is really something else.

Impressive night for Kimmie. She looks and skates so beautifully.

Tough night for Loena and Haien.

Great podium. Sooooooooo relieved that Kaori was champion that she is.

As predicted.Queen did what she had to do.Super showup from Issabeau when she needed it.Chaeyeon clearly best and most consistent Korean senior girl this season deserved a reward and this bronze medal is perfect for her.

Thanks everyone for gathering here and exchange your opinions and emotions.

Summary of the entire season for Womens:Not the best entire year to be honest. Not a lot of interesting programs and a lot sloppy not consistent performances tru the season.
Hope for improve next year, but to be honest we may really be suffer from not having Mao and Jia coming up yet.

See everyone incoming season when it comes to womens.

Loena is my dream girl but I've been I have been complaining about this since the beginning of the season. This kind of dance requires absolute sharpness and precision or... not at all.

As an aside, I'm not really into dance notes taken from ballroom in general. I know it was cool when P/C put that into their rhythm dance in '22, but if you're not queer and are taking moves from the scene [+cough+anastasia+cough]? It just has an icky appropriative sheen to it that doesn't sit quite right. To each their own, though.
Yeah, I am queer and try not to be uptight about this sort of stuff but... it does rub me the wrong way a little bit.

P/C did it properly and the performed it well. Leona... not so much. Such a shame because she has gorgeous artistry in her short program.

some happiness, some disappointment but such is life .

Kaori was great and very well deserved gold medal ,i think here applies perfectly the Japanese saying "Persistance wins over intelligence" like @slider11 says is very gracious and very supportive and always kindness is rewarded and today also it was rewarded together with her perseverance and talent

I didn't find your responses to be harsh at all, so please don't feel that way. I thought they were well put.

I really think you have to blame Adam Solya for this. Loena can sell anything but he didn't give her anything to work with. That choreography is just badly done. Her SP is fine. But, I really hope she tries another choreographer. She's a better skater than his choreo highlights.
