I understand all the points you made and agree with them. That's why I said most, not all. I hope you do realize that most males are attracted to females, which has nothing to do with being dominated. Maybe that's not true in the skating community, but Im talking about the perception of the public.you know... i could give you a handful of reasons why a teenage boy doesn't want to do it with a woman any age.
not everyone is a horny teenage boy.
some boys have religious beliefs
some boys are not straight or unsure
some boys want sex to be a special thing, not something that happens out of drinking or whatever
some boys want to do it within a relationship or choose the right time
some boys just don't feel ready
some boys are deeply interested in someone else and are not into the woman offering...
Seriously, the simple fact that this boy didn't feel it was right should be enough.
What I see here is that some men have this exact fantasy, being dominated by a woman... well, in real life, it doesn't always happen like this.
SIGH
When it comes to something like this, it doesn't matter what most men would do or not... what matters is that this one kid didn't want it. ( I also gave other examples where a man attracted to a woman would still not want to have sex in such circumstances.)I understand all the points you made and agree with them. I agree, if all the facts are as presented now. When it comes to something like this, it doesn't matter what most men would do or not... what matters is that this one kid didn't want it. I just want to understand the situation. Who are the 2 members suspends ?
And, does it mean that Haein Lee and Young You would be remove of the Grand prix series ?
If criminal actions took place, I hope the perpetrators will be persecuted under the law. That's a long and complicated process. For now, the athlets involved were appropriately and immideately suspended, which I hope to become a norm in such situations.Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your post, but the problem is not necessarily the age range of people at the camp but the fact that someone was sexually assaulted. The age gap is its own separate thing, but this isn't about relationships or dating. It is about an adult sexually assaulting someone. Yes, there are conversations to be had about the responsibility of the staff and coaches to care for their athletes (hence the suspension of the camp training leader), but the issue here is not about a minor and an adult entering a relationship. It is about an adult sexually assaulting a minor, ie doing actions to them without consent. And I've seen others say "they're young and it was just a mistake". I've made many a mistake in my life, but sexually assaulting someone is not a "mistake". Sexually assaulting someone while drunk is not an "accident". And this is not just an "incident". This could be a crime. This could permanently affect the victim.

I still think it sadHere's another article on the situation: https://m.sports.naver.com/general/article/001/0014762452
Because this was an ongoing investigation before (without the sexual assault/harassment being known to the public at that pint), so we knew that two adult female figure skaters had been provisionally suspended, with one junior male skater having been involved in the situation. https://m.news.nate.com/view/20240610n33983
The training camp was only open to skaters on the actual National team (Notable: Not all skaters representing Korea internationally are part of the National team - Lim/Quan were not for a long time for example). From the get-go, that already hugely limits the athletes who could have been involved, as there are only three adult female skaters on the National team (Young You, Haein Lee and Seoyeong Wi, who wasn't at the training camp apparently).
KBS (the national broadcaster of South Korea) included blurred videos of Haein and Young in their reporting on the situation as well
If the translation is right , sound not like the common case that skater C (man) assaulted to skater A (woman) but well is very possible ( read twice the news translation because isn't the common case)Allegedly, Skater A contacted skater C to come to her dormitory, where the assault occurred by Skater A and a sexually explicit photo was taken of Skater A by Skater B and showed it to Skater C.
Let's give generation Z a chance. In ten years they'll be shaking their heads in dismay at the Alphas.Good heavens. Another day, another Generation Z scandal.
Right??! Jesus...(i never take part in pointless arguments, you know, but for Christ sake!)
It.s black. At least for me, trying to watch from Europe. Can you please let us know what it says?

We may never get any more hard facts that we have now. But this version of events has a ring of truth, to me. Tthe original announcement reported in post #1 on this thread gives the impression that the offence of the two senior ladies lay in violating team rules about drinking, while the young man was reprimanded for enyering the ladies' dormitory. It seemed like the sexual assault and harassment part was adjoined later, perhaps after further inquiry and possibly legal consultations.
Haein Lee gave an interview with a reporter of a reputable news organization YTN.
My Korean is not perfect so please take the below with a grain of salt, but here is a summary of the article, along with some quotes from her. (Please feel free to take down if not appropriate/breaking rules):
Haein Lee is reflecting on having drunk during a national training camp and apologizes to her fans and family for letting them down.
Haein: "Drinking during a national training camp is unequivocally my fault, and I want to sincerely apologize and say I am very sorry."
The reporter notes Haein denies accusations of sexual assault. Haein says she and the male junior skater involved were dating at the time of the incident (and started dating when they were both minors).
"Seeing reports call the actions between two people in a relationship those of sexual assault was hurtful and difficult for me to read. I want to make it clear these claims are false and there were no actions constituting sexual assault or harassment."
"I was really looking forward to trying to qualify for Milan 2026 but now it seems I cannot attempt to do so. It feels like the world around me is crumbling and I feel sad and despondent."
Haein plans to appeal the sexual assault allegations.
Haein's lawyer: "the actions being investigated are merely light contact (TN: the word being used for 'contact' in korean is 'skinship', basically means any sort of bodily contact between lovers, like holding hands, kissing, or anything like that) between two people in a relationship. We will prove this during the appeal process while seeking adequate resolution regarding Haein's drinking at the training camp."
