She's become less stiff with her arms, good for her. Still stiff here and there but I think she'll get better. It was Voila so minus points but I'm appreciative of Higuchi Mihoko not making a weird mishmash program again

I love a good Voila program, lol. I know the music is overused but Rena used it so well in her program! Just very beautiful overall, but especially that StSq. I like this program much better than her SP last year.

(also not important, but she looks a lot taller so kudos to her for working hard to keep jumping like That because wow. What incredible jumps.)

Despite young age, Rena seems to be such seasoned, well-rounded performer. There's a certain charm to her presence seeing her performance live. Plus love me some pink dress.

I also wholeheartedly enjoyed Josephine Lee earlier. Objection Tango makes a great vehicle for her.

Shimada should have got dinged for a q or UR with her sequence in the free program (judges gave +2 and +3 GOE instead), so let's call it even if we're comparing her to Shimada. Rena has artistry you cannot teach and the jumps are very good especially for someone with such height.

The junior women so far have all been really incredible! While the jumps probably weren't as comfortable as Angel would have liked given her injury during the summer, this was a really lovely program. Her head movement throughout the step sequence was gorgeous!

Delevaque has progressed nicely since last season. She can emote with her face, which a lot of skaters struggle with.
