While I don't love the music, the improvement Yuma has made in his musicality and PCS even from last season is remarkable. This program has so many more transitions than his previous shorts, and I love the addition of the bi-directional spin. Considering he took a few weeks off in July for "pain in his body", this was a good skate and way to open up the season.

Popping back in for Yuma and ooooh I love the purple, we don't see nearly enough purple in FS

I like this version of Sound of Silence. It's something a little different and keeps it from being completely warhorsey...wait nvm we just switched back to the original...sad haha.

I don't mind, though, this is a wonderful program and he's got an amazing handle on it for this early in the season. Idk how to describe it other than to say he just moves so beautifully...

So... Quality skating minus 4S, but music was honestly atrocious. I am not in a good mood and the music did not help.

Yuma's skating is more glorious than ever. I don't love this version of the song, but I do love the choreo, skating, and movement. Yuma's hands seem a lot more expressive now. Beautiful to watch.

If any skater could make me like that song, it would be Yuma. He didn't.

But I will enjoy watching that on mute unless he switches to tolerable music later in the season.

Thank G-d it’s not the Disturbed version, and,
He should have stuck with the instrumental version, the vocals coming in midway ruin it

Yuma himself, his skating skills and jump technique, is truly a wonder, though. I was in awe watching him live and up close at Worlds
