Not a lot of video out there yet, but what I found is posted.
Last year it took awhile but we eventually got quite a bit - so please be patient.
Video posters have lives too!

Personally, I would have scored Ilia 105, Shun 99, and Yuma 97, but we're not too far off.

Ilia - This is a new jump layout for him, so didn't think he was going to go clean, but what a boss, skating around in practice and here like it's March. I can't believe the SP lead score is 107 before the GP series even starts.

Shun - Very nice. I've been a fan since his Libertango SP last year. I think he has the ability to skate to a variety of styles, which I really enjoy.

Yuma - I just love his skating, but I hate the vocals that come in halfway through. It ruined the atmosphere for me. Lori Nichols picked both his programs. I wonder what Yuma would have chosen. What does Yuma listen to in his spare time? Lol.

Kao - I really like him and the fact that he has a very different style to the other Japanese men. He's like an action figure, a video game character with a big 1-2 punch going POW POW. So dynamic.

I tried to watch Egadze because he was 4th but turned it off after the second jumping pass. Now that is mediocre skating. Looks like the judges agree, as he was 12th in PCS, lol.

Loved Ilya's new SP and had to giggle when he performed the InaBauer for the detractors of his skating prowess. Way to go! Lots of disappointing performances otherwise, but Miura has my heart as always. Haven't seen Sato yet, but rooting for him.

...and Sato was wonderful. I really wish he grabs the 1st boy of Japan spot this year.

Just found Ilia's SP on YouTube and was very impressed with how well he delivers this program so early in the season. At first I didn't like the music but when he really got into it I could see how it worked. Ilia has matured in so many ways even since last season. Good job! And I really liked Yuma's version of Sounds of Silence!

Going backwards here, I wonder what I remember of Friday night... The rink felt colder on the first day than afterwards at least. Did not like the fact that the stands were on the wrong side and we watching mostly backs.

Seeing North Koreans was interesting. The pieces of music were somewhat hilarious, like songs from a 1980s instrumental synth compilation album. But both guys had good basics, 4T and 3A, which is not that bad!

I think that Aleksandr Selevko could skate to anything and I would still like what he does. David Wilson had done an awesome choreo for the short! If it were not for the jumps...

I was not too impressed with the rest of what I saw, I must say. Not very interesting music choices, not very inspriring choreos.

Shun Sato was as if I was watching Shoma Uno's ghost return on ice (which for me is not a good thing).

Yuma's Sound of Silence was a little bit like his Gladiator in that the version used are kind of subdued and somehow miss the grandiosity of the original. His shoulders and neck looked really tight all the time, he does not use his upper body very much in the end (this was better in the free).

I liked Ilia's jumps, such works of beauty, the first quad combo in the second part a tech achievement. But the rest was pretty much forgettable.

I was afraid you might be in mourning with Shoma's retirement. I look forward to your criticism of anything and everything Shun does.

Didn't they add that heel pop as a feature for levels? Or am I misremembering that.

If it counts as a level feature, we'll see a lot of them.
Is that what that is? I wondered why they were all doing some rocking move. Can't remember if it was on the heel or toe?

Any skater can come up with their own idea to satisfy a requirement, they don't have to copy Selevko.
