Yes, the music choice is tired and old, but I am so impressed by the improvements this team has made in the off-season. They have done well to harness their speed and attack and refine it. Aside from the rather dull opening, the speed, depth of edge, and intensity is fantastic.

There are some things to clean up - overall they weren't quite as polished as the RD - but this is a great starting point for them

Unrelated and late but as someone who knows very little almost nothing about Ice Dance, I thought the Ukranian team's OFT was absolutely stunning

I like UtaMasa, and I think the program grew stronger as it went. Not the most innovative choice per say but they're still a new team and it may help them with settling down, and the program isn't bad or boring so I'm okay with the decision

Olivia... Tim... did you raid a Party City store for your costumes? I appreciate the attempt to be faithful to the film's costumes but the bodysuit in particular is not it, especially with the strange orange scarf situation.

also, you can't use Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet's love theme WHILE DRESSED AS THE OTHER LOVE INTEREST WHO IS NOTABLY NOT ZENDAYA

at least they chose that music though it's my favourite piece from the soundtrack

she's dressed in one of Irulan's outfits. And I have to admit, Olivia does look a lot like Florence Pugh and Tim with an e does a solid Timothée Chalamet, but the program is genuinely pissing me off because it makes no sense story-wise. Even the cloth that Tim wears is (I think) supposed to be a callback to the cloth Chani wears to identify herself, except hers is blue, not orange, and also has nothing to do with Irulan? Also Irulan and Paul don't even have a love story, they have an arranged marriage for political power after Paul stages a coup to overthrow the Emperor SO WHY ARE WE PLAYING THE LOVE THEME?
