I looked at protocols. I am so happy for Alicia and Paul. At the same time, I am not happy that they were not rewarded on PCS. They won the RD based only on their technical advantage and they are just as good, if not better than many teams who got higher PCS than them in that department... they are less known just because they are second tier Canadian dancers... and do not get out to events like Worlds... but they deserve much better.
Jumping in to say how much I enjoyed Oona and Gage, I'm not as big a James Brown fan as many skaters are , but I admire the commitment to "Get Up Offa That Thang" in its many iterations.

Recognizing that it was less crisp than it will need to be, I think this was a very successful early outing. It had charm. It was a nice change of pace from all the disco programs. I enjoyed the lack of "Travolta pointing." I think they skate big.
Speed continues to improve - they just need to keep things tidy while moving faster. They're positioning themselves nicely for next quad.
