2024 JGP Wuxi Women's SP

Caught up with my favourite Chaeyeon Kim's Asian Winter Games FS during warmup, and wow she slayed again ! I do miss her Le bal des folles, but this program is really pretty, and her Tron Legacy SP is fire. Can't wait to see her live in Angers !! :D

Meanwhile, what a gorgeous dress !! It does reminisce of Valieva's Bolero costume from 2020-2021 season.

The program is marvelous live, she is going to contend for AWG gold in Harbin

Vianna's dress has interesting detailing; I appreciated the close-up. She started out with a lot of attack, and managed to keep up her energy and speed almost all the way to the end.

I thought only Venezia was known for its masks but apparently not!
the whole country has popular masks. they were part of a popular kind of theatre, the commedia dell'arte, every mask was a specific type of character (the stingy old man, the noble young man, the womanizer, the bragging soldier, the femme fatale, the ingenue, the smart servant etc) and you could make all kind of stories mixing them following the most fashionable tropes of the moment. every region has its own mask. this kind of pupular entertainment was born around the late renaissence and had its golden age in 17th and 18th century, Rossini's characters come from here. among the most famous masks i think you know Pulcinella

I learned a bit about commedia dell'arte in college and it being where Pierrot and Harlequin and Scaramouche were established, but I didn't know about each region having their own masks! The things you learn from fs
