This cover is depressing, it's the musical equivalent of the colour grey. At least Kara's dress is pretty and sparkly ✨ Her spins are good, her PCS are good, but the jumps were not here today. The Short was her best of the season (of her life) by a bit, and the Free unfortunately falls closer to the other end of the spectrum. :(

Ariel's music is such a good choice. Kara is lovely skater, but I think skating to the Winner Takes It All has to be one of the the worst decisions a skater can make. It just doesn't lend itself to success, does it?
Not quite as bad as Michelle Kwan and Fields of Gold, I still cringe at that one, but I think that was a exhibition skate at least. Still awkwaaaaard when you don't win.

Ahmahgawd, last group! But the next hour? I gotta get up at 8am I can't be going to bed at midnight especially after I slept terribly last night.

And tbh I think Adam isn't a good role model for young skaters concerning the backflip. There's a video going around at the moment where he practices and hits the ice quite hard. He isn't even wearing a helmet. I call it reckless.
I know. ISU and its decisions...mind boggling sometimes.

Not the skate Kara wanted, the jumps not co-operating, but her Ina Bauer was timed gloriously with the music, and her Ch Combo and layback spins were lovely, with a beautiful Biellmann position. A unique opening with twizzles pretty much off the bat. Today was not her best day, but I am sure when she is on, this is a lovely free programme.

I would love her kick someone out of top 6, but I doubt any of them will have combined total this low.
