There are skaters I prefer more than others but I don't dislike anybody. At least, not on how they skate. I guess, I was just caught off guard with some of the comments here. Welcome to online forums for me I guess. 😥

Sometimes, especially at the bigger events I find I have to use the ignore button (click a user's profile to see it and select it) when a poster gets carried away. It lets me enjoy the event more.

Don't let that discourage you. Depending on the time zone the event is in, you can get a variety of different posters - many can be fun and positive towards all the skaters.

I think it is natural to like or dislike the way certain skaters skate. It isn't natural to dislike them as a person because of the way they skate. Those are different things...

My laptop failed me during Ami's skate, so I had to watch on my phone, so no commentary from me, unfortunately. Either way, she did so well

I just finished watching this competition.

Ami Nakai - Not just a 3A, but, a 3A 3T. She was unbelievable. Such a gutsy skater. With a 200+ score, she just guaranteed herself two senior GP spots for the Olympic season. I’m so proud of her. The rest of the world is increasing their technical difficulty.

Yuseong Kim - She is a fighter. I would have placed her in 4th-5th in this competition. Her triples are kinda landed on the “q” and her jumps are tiny with not as much flow. Generous judging… her TES was similar to Yihan. I guess her triples don’t get as much GOEs. But, she deserves a spot in the JGP finals to represent Korea.

Yihan Wang - With her Stoney cold face. I actually love that. Love the jumping technique and spins. She can podium in the JGP finals due to her consistency

Shuxian and Shiqui - Shiqui was the #2 skater domestically. That fall in the SP hurt her here. Shuxian never makes mistakes. A flawless program here and she didn’t even podium. I want to know more about this Chinese camp. I love how these skaters are packaged and like I’ve said in other threads… watch out for China 🇨🇳 in the future. Proper jumping textbook technique and artistry that highlights their strengths.

Yo Takagi - I was in tears 😭 for her. I knew she wouldn’t even beat Shuxian due to her lower technical content. The thing is, to me, she is the Junior skater with the best skating skills. Her PCS should be five points higher than the rest of the field. Yes… she is that good!!
With 180+, she may not even make it to the Senior GP next season 😵‍💫

Sophie - the is how she usually skates domestically. But, I love that she went for the 4S. Someone who is going for it. So, I appreciate her

Also, kudos to Inga…. Who is always underscored. She landed the best 3A, in my opinion.

I was very taken with Yihan Wang’s FS; this is the 3rd time I have seen it.. her command of the ice is wonderful at such a young age; choreography, music and costume blend so well to tell a story.. The Grandmaster is, I read, the story of Jackie Chan’s teacher (correct me if I am wrong!) Even her intense expression reflects the narrative.. I was delighted to see her share a laugh with the other medalists at the ceremony especially when they bit their medals for the photographers.
Congratulations to her!

I cannot believe that her Chinese coach picked Arirang for her, sport involves propaganda and this is not okay
I just don't see how that connected to propaganda (I think you mean cultural appropriation?). Cuz if a Chinese skater who is Korean ethnic group use a Korean music, it's obvious that she chose this music because her Korean ethinic group identity instead of her Chinese nationality. So I'm really confuse how this could make people think Arirang is a Chinese song.
Btw as a Chinese I'm really happy that Yuseong use a music from Chinese movie. I mean, I think most of the people will be happy if skater presents a program with the element of their culture, no matter this skater is from that culture or not.

Hospitals don’t close on weekends - need to care for the wild partygoers
They are wonderful care givers...I always have good luck at hospitals......I have about given up on my doctors and use urgent care. My feet are numb. It took 5 weeks to get an appt with my PCP. He refered me to a clinic and told me, "Now if they dont call you in two weeks, you call them! " So I did and got a recording. Unless its been 8 weeks since your referal, dont call us....we will call you after 8 weeks and make an appointment (when? The next century?) Another doc referred me for a 3T MRI in May. I gave up trying to schedule it, but my PCP again urged me to continue. So after 4 hours on the phone with 4 people from two entities, I started to play hard ball...I dont like to bully people cause I have been bullied all my life.....but I finally reached a supervisor and had an appt in an hour. It is coming up in a few weeks.

Well, I just finished the ladies Free and wow....people in the stands, AND my Asian skaters blew the roof off the building. Glad to see China coming back strong. Like Ted Barton said, and on this forum, I have to put duct tape over my mouth to keep from saying bad things, but if anyone knows how to permanantly etch "ISU" in the bottom of my toilet bowl, send me a PM. TIA.
