WYR work in a really comfy office space (or coffee shop or fast food "your" booth) or in your own home?

comfy office space

WYR drive an exotic sports car or ride your own horse?

Drive a (semi-) exotic sports car. I am currently coveting a red MG convertible I saw yesterday in a PBS Masterpiece Mystery series filmed in England.

WYR ride a horse bareback or ride in a pony cart?

Pony cart

WYR take a train that takes 4 hrs than a plane that takes 3 hrs (with transit)

(I know this is an impossible question for Americans as there is no trains)

Train. (Our honeymoon was a train trip across Canada from Vancouver to Toronto. It tends to give one a rosy view of train travel :)💞💖)

WYR go for a walk with a dog or with a human friend?

Walk with a human friend

WYR pick pumpkins in a pumpkin patch or go on a hayride?
Go on a hayride (as long as there was a blanket between me and the scratchy hay)

WYR be a party guest at a sit-down dinner or a party where you stand around eating from a buffet

Sit down dinner (I don't want to have to stand the whole time)

WYR visit a haunted house or spend time in one of those escape rooms?

I haven't been in an escape room yet, either. Not sure if I want to spend time in one. I do have friends who have done it, though & it sounds like they enjoyed the experience. Maybe someone else here has done it & can share his/her impressions of it. As for haunted houses, they're definitely not my thing (with the exception of The Haunted Mansion @ Disney World/Disneyland.

I looked it up in Wikipedia and I see it's a game of some kind. I thought maybe it meant one of those locked-in rooms wealthy people have in their houses to take shelter in case of a home invasion! I guess in that case, I'd pick the haunted house if it were one of those castles or mansions in the UK where one of Henry VIII's wives runs around screaming or, to stretch a point, there's a village in the north of England where supposedly on very foggy days you hear and dimly see a Roman legion march up a road. That would be interesting, not scary.

WYR rake leaves or shovel snow, without the aid of a mechanical blower for either job?

Rake leaves, unless the snowfall is rather light (up to about 4 inches). We used to have an oak tree in our back yard, but we had it cut down a few years ago (we were concerned that it might interfere with pipes, not to mention if it got knocked over in a big rainstorm. We used to have about 20 lawn bags filled with leaves. Now we're down to about eight bags a season.

WYR take quick showers or a long bath every day?

Quick showers in the morning and a long bath at night is my preferred way to go. But if I have to choose, it is quick showers. Long baths depend much more on the time available and the mood at hand.

WYR live on the ground floor (first floor in US, I think) or the top floor when living in an apartment block?

WYR live on the ground floor (first floor in US, I think) or the top floor when living in an apartment block?
Depends on the height of the building and its location, and the climate. The top floor means using the fire stairs in an emergency or if the elevator breaks down. As an elderly skater I may have strong legs for my age, but I draw the line at carrying groceries up twenty flights of stairs if the elevator isn't working. Also the top floor is hotter in summer, and I'm not a lover of heat. On the other hand, ground floor apartments are vulnerable to flooding in Vancouver's heavy rains, and are a favourite target for opportunistic burglars. I guess I'll go for the top floor if the building is like mine -- that would be the third floor here, the fourth to Americans.

WYR take cruises and have short visits ashore in ports, or fly between locations and spend more time in each of those cities?

Fly between locations & spend more time in each of those cities

WYR vote in person or through the mail (when it comes to national elections)?

Through the mail (although it depends on the season's weather at the time, since Canadian and British elections are on random dates with no fixed terms of office, not a specific year and date like in the USA)

WYR, when on a day's outing in the country, in your car, take your own food with you for a picnic or stop at a restaurant along the way?

Bring our own food for a picnic

WYR eat out during a (long) competition break (let's say 2 hours or so) or stay in the area & eat the arena food?

Eat out.

Would you rather get an all-event ticket for a competition or just get tickets for the disciplines you like?

All-event ticket and then choose which events to watch all the way through, or partway, or skip, depending on how I feel at the moment.

If you were travelling with a group, WYR use a private plane to save travel time, or in a private bus to see some scenery en route?

private bus

WYR accept lots of a lottery money prize in one payment or receive payments of it once a month for life?
