Would You Rather...

Wear a uniform

WYR work out @ a gym or @ home?
I'd have to choose the gym because it has the space and equipment. I do some at home, but am limited in an apartment.

WYR have an alarm system in your home or own a loud-barking dog (supposing for some reason you couldn't have both)?

Live @ the bottom of the hill for ease of driving, walking, biking

WYR visit one country @ a time or visit several in one trip (let's say a trip lasting @ least 2 weeks)?

One at a time, and stay put there, not travel around

WYR wear a bright waterproof slicker and rain hat on a wet day, or wear your usual street clothes and carry a big umbrella? (This morning's weather here, and I'm trying to decide that.)

Most of my life I'd say a big umbrella but just recently I turned to fancy waterproof macs (is this still a right word? ) with big hoods .... so this my answer, obviously !

Were you to have a dog, WYR have a large breed , friendly but also giving a sense of security or a tiny one which you can carry with you everywhere (but sometimes might end up in need to rescue it in your arms)?

Tiny. (Currently I live with a 20 lb Maine Coon cat who does my spine no good at all when I have to haul him in a carrier to the vet and he's bucking and thrashing around in it. A pet gerbil looks good at such times.)

(And they're still called macs in Vancouver, where it rains a lot.)

WYR live in a penthouse apartment and risk power failures or fire alarms when you had to use the stairs, or on the ground floor which has less privacy and is easier for burglars?

Penthouse! I love the view!

Maine Coon must be beautiful! But that's right , they can be huge!
But in general I agree, you should have a pet you are able to carry if need be, I found out more than once that it actually helps a lot if you can.

Provided you cannot have a living space which is ideal for you , would you rather have it too small (crowdy but cosy, still forced to get rid of things regularly for the lack of space, no big parties, limited capabilities of overnight guests etc.), or too big (spacious and comfortable but too big to be filled so occasionally might feel empty, cold and lonely)?

What I have is too big for one smallish human and one large cat (1600 sq ft), but fits your description of a too small place, right from "crowdy" all the way to "etc", so I'll have to go with too big. I'm a regular at dropping stuff off at thrift stores and recycling depots and the place never seems to get less crowded and cluttered.

WYR, if you didn't have an ailment or injury that required physical inspection, "visit" your family doctor in person or over the phone? (Where I live, you make phone appointments, and then your doctor either asks you to come in or to go to Emergency if she feels something needs to be seen up close.)

Below, from 2012: 6-month-old Maine Coon kitten, already sprawling off the edges of the tree platform. His adoptive mother on the top, who was half his size when he was full grown but remained in charge until she died of old age, is a 7-year-old half-Siamese.

Call the family doctor & describe the ailment

WYR share a dessert @ a restaurant or order your own?

Not a fan of sweets, so share.

WYR, while travelling, be adventurous and try local dishes with unknown ingredients, or play it safe with your stomach and stick to familiar food served worldwide (e.g., Macdonald's or the like)?

Thank you for sharing lovely photos of these lovely cats! Pretty awesome!

I'd rather try new local food, I usually do :)

Would you rather have a book written about you or write it yourself?;)

Write it myself and control what goes in it ;).

If you won a raffle where the prize was a big luxurious new house or the cash equivalent, would you take the house or the money?

Take the money

WYR take one long vacation/holiday a year, or take several smaller ones during the year?

Several mini-vacations

If you won a raffle where the prize was a professional re-decorating of your existing house or a cash equivalent, would you take the redo or the money?

Take the money. (I like my home the way it is already.)

Would you rather watch your favourite sport, or be a top athlete playing/doing that sport?

Watch my favourite sport (guess which one)!

WYR get dressed up for Halloween or give out the candy to trick or treaters?

Get dressed up for a Hallowe'en party. (where I live, children don't go door to door, they go to organized parties at community centres)

WYR be given free lessons in a new skill you've always wanted to try, or free lessons from a famous master of some skill you already have?
