Oh no, he's dealing with an injury... those three errors in a row of the popped toe, 3Lo, and spin error... Lukas has normally been so consistent, and with that injury trouble, he's struggling a bit to isolate errors and is letting them bleed into other elements. However, he still performed throughout, and I like this program much better than last year's free. Hopefully he can heal up and feel better soon.

oh, now we're travelling through new galaxies and new dimensions... the special lettuce philosopher choreographers are staying very true to the Frenchness of this event.

I was really hoping Britschgi will do well in Grand Prix series. I like him and his programs a lot. I was having dreams of him qualifying for the GPF.

What is with Lukas trying to pull off these edgy, conceptual ideas in his programs? Just stick to being a cowboy or a matador or a hot biker dude and you'll be fine. There's no need for him to become the next Blanc and Bouquet!

I hope Lucas takes care of that knee - even if he needs to take time off.

I hate to say it because we knock skaters when they get in a rut and always show the same type of programs, do warhorses. etc., but I think two "themed, more esoteric" programs are not doing Lucas any favors. I actually like the SP and really applaud him for doing something different. But for the FS, I feel like he should have done something more....engaging. Not necessarily rock/pop, although he does that so well. It just fell flat for me - and I think it would have even if the tech had been there.

Part of it also is that even though the SP was very different, his personality still showed through. And I don't think it is does in the FS.
