2024 NHK Trophy Pairs Free Skate

And Chris there are no stuffies so crowd size is irrelevant.
Not to TPTB it's not  not that I am feeling sorry for them.

With any luck you will get stuffies next week in China, didn't Boyang get a lot last year?

Imo they are good enough for 2nd Gp. I decided to like them. Not confirmed they will get it and maybe they are not yet asked.

This team has improved so much - it's a shame about the SBS jump and throw problems, because their lifts are so good - they have so much speed and flow - and their basic skating is really fantastic. Once they get that 3Tw and those throws down, they really will be contenders - I'm just so proud of Sumitada because he came from singles just a few seasons ago and is now one of the best pairs lifters despite being just a head taller than his partner.

I learned only today that Nagaoka Yuna's 'yu' is short and not long, I should've known as all the portmanteaus are four hiragana letters, I am ashamed

YunaSumi's lifts are so so good. I think they'll be getting a second assignment next week

I love that the "new" Japanese team seems evenly matched.

I think this music is bit too ponderous for them at this stage.

Good fight guys!

Yuna hasn't had as much experience with high level competition so still struggles with nerves
But she's talented and a quick learner so I think she'll get there eventually

They've already skated clean with this same music last season with simpler tech content and it was impressive
They also performed quite well last week (scored 117+)
Seems the nerves got to Yuna today

A bit late on Nagaoka/Moriguchi: maybe I'm misremembering the skates he had with Murakami Haruna but I think he has better chemistry with Nagaoka Yuna
