they gave it to him on the review, but he got circus goes for it and nobody even cared about such an historical feat.

Even better just don't do the salchow in the SP, I don't think he's ever landed it clean at all - has he?
A 3F with huge +GOE can score much better than 4S with negative GOE... not to mention the effect of jump mistake on the component scores too.

oh, no, don't worry, Gangsta's Paradise will come back later in the season, he's alternating between the two shorts this season. Also he's skating to SOS d'un terrien en detresse and there's a backflip

I don't think he completely dumped it - I read in an interview that he's doing 2 different short programs this season and may pick whichever during competition

Nik... what happened to your ever-consistent 4Lz? At least this wasn't quite as much a disaster short as in France never mind, that error on the combo spin is just and he really is such a performer. I can only guess that it's a combination of lack of training time with the injury in the off-season and some mental stress/nerves. Ah well, Europeans/Worlds is the end goal, so baby steps, I suppose.

Yes!

It was your song that was keeping Rinky away. But it just wasn't long enough to keep him away for more than 4 skaters.

So, more verses are needed if we want to keep him away for the rest of the competition.
