There are days that nothing works...they looked so calm when they started

I wonder if they knew they had to be perfect and the nerves got to them.

I'm so happy for Alisa and Misha, they had the skate of the night, and for Katie and Daniil, who I said were in a fight for pewter and then ended up winning silver just to spite me. I'm just sad that it came at the expense of tough skates for Spencer and Emily and Ellie and Danny . I think based on body of work, Ellie and Danny will get a Worlds spot, along with Alisa and Misha, and Katie/Daniil will absolutely get a 4CC spot.

What a disaster for the last 2 pairs. So, no Worlds for them?

Ellie and Danny will likely go to Worlds based on their body of work over the past season. They're the only US Senior pairs team that qualified for GPF and have the highest international scores. It just wasn't their night tonight.

I had a perfect score in pairs after the SP, but now . Well, at least my ice dance predictions worked out..

I think this will be an interesting decision for the selection committee. Will they really trust McBeath/Parkman to try to secure the third spot for the Olympics year? I’m not sure I would

They are very lucky they went to the grand prix final, as it will certainly get them a ticket to worlds. This was a disastrous skate.

To be honest Ellie/Danny did not need to be perfect. They just needed to be good. Even imperfect, they get great scores abroad, think what national judges would have given them 145+ with a mistake or two. But, they were both very very nervy today. I'm glad they aren't hurt.

I'm betting that Ellie and Danny get named to the World Team based past experience and getting to the Grand Prix final.

As for Emily and Spencer, maybe a 4C assignment?
