2025 U S. Nationals Senior Pairs Free Skate

Ellie and Danny will likely go to Worlds based on their body of work over the past season. They're the only US Senior pairs team that qualified for GPF and have the highest international scores. It just wasn't their night tonight.

finishing in 3rd just a point behind is good enough for worlds for sure.

unfortunately mcbeath parkman will be the ones not making it.

Did anyone see the press conference after the short program? Alisa and Misha basically said Alisa is applying for US citizenship so that they can go to Milano 2026. But she's only been in the country since late spring 2023 so I don't see how that's possible.

I think this will be an interesting decision for the selection committee. Will they really trust McBeath/Parkman to try to secure the third spot for the Olympics year? I’m not sure I would

My thoughts haven't changed based on what I thought coming into Nats, Ellie and Danny, and Alisa and Misha are the Worlds team.

I love C/H but they really couldn't afford any mistakes tonight. Their speed is great and their interpretation is superior to most teams so I'm hoping it all comes together for the the Olympic season.

I also really like this pair. They just can't stay healthy long enough to really get their act together on the big elements.

Really unfortunate for them.

Did anyone see the press conference after the short program? Alisa and Misha basically said Alisa is applying for US citizenship so that they can go to Milano 2026. But she's only been in the country since late spring 2023 so I don't see how that's possible.

i doubt it will happen in time... Deanna has spoken a lot about how they felt max wouldn't get it in time for Milano... and that's why they represent Canada and she just got hers...

I always thought this was the best pairs teams from USA and they proved it tonight

I knew Danny would blow the free skate, when I saw him singing to backstreet boys….. I feel so bad for Ellie. She wants it so much!!! She shouldn’t cry though, as they will be selected to 4CC and Worlds.

Happy for the silver medalist team. They just locked that 4CC spot.

Shin and her partner were so close. I was hoping they would place 4th.

i am doing ok for now.. but the boys are going to screw me over really hard tomorrow... just like the women did at Canadian nationals... where I had two perfect scores (in pairs and dance) and a silver in men but still failed to medal overall LOL

Sad for Ellie and Danny but better here than at Worlds. I think they will get a Worlds and 4 CC bid (4CC for the competition practice). But maybe that 4 CC will be given to McBeath and Parkman. I'm a big fan of Chan and Howe but they have not bounced back from his injury last year. Congrats to Alisa and Misha.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Makes sense to go for Canada. US citizenship is like an eight year process. Vadym and Christina are just now hoping to get theirs after five years of green card.

Highly unlikely. But, I hope they do well at Worlds this year for themselves and for the Olympic hopes of the teams that finished in 2 and 4th.
