Yes. In a very different political climate. We're not strings pulled for Tan?
I got 25. If the men do their usual damage I might be on page two...so much for tracking all the skaters all year, watching endless videos, crunching numbers, considering the possibilities of implosion - it's only a game for me, it's a career for them...I had 65 before the LP... went down to 45
Yes, additionally Tanith had a very strong chance of medaling. If E/M manage to get a medal at Worlds thus showing they could get an Olympic medal, which seems very very unlikely, they might have a shot. But, that's just not something I see as having a strong likelihood of happening. It happened for Tanith, but in today's political climate I just don't see it happening
I'm lost..what do the Backstreet Boys have to do with this?I’m so happy with the winners!!
I always thought this was the best pairs teams from USA and they proved it tonight
I knew Danny would blow the free skate, when I saw him singing to backstreet boys….. I feel so bad for Ellie. She wants it so much!!! She shouldn’t cry though, as they will be selected to 4CC and Worlds.
Happy for the silver medalist team. They just locked that 4CC spot.
Shin and her partner were so close. I was hoping they would place 4th.
I pick with my heart and end up in poor shape every time.I got 25. If the men do their usual damage I might be on page two...so much for tracking all the skaters all year, watching endless videos, crunching numbers, considering the possibilities of implosion - next predictions - it's only a game for me, it's a career for them...
It's "exceptional talent." Yes, if you are a figure skater who is going to (Tanith Belbin) win world and Olympic medals for the US, that is "exceptional talent."For figure skaters, recently?
Idk, Alisa and Misha are winners and Trump would like that, haha.It happened for Tanith, but in today's political climate I just don't see it happening
That's why I ask "recently". Tanith was 20 years ago under different circumstances, when the US had no reputation in ice dance. And she and Ben had already won a World silver medal. It's "exceptional talent." Yes, if you are a figure skater who is going to (Tanith Belbin) win world and Olympic medals for the US, that is "exceptional talent."
I was wondering that too.I'm lost..what do the Backstreet Boys have to do with this?
I don't know. It could go either way.It happened for Tanith, but in today's political climate I just don't see it happening
I think they could still get them at Challenge Cup.Something to think about when the assignments come for alternates, Shin/Nagy are fractions of a point off their World minimums.
They were playing backstreet boys in the arena and they showed a clip of him singing to the tune…. And playing it up for the camerasI'm lost..what do the Backstreet Boys have to do with this?
well that's the kicker.Yes, additionally Tanith had a very strong chance of medaling. If E/M manage to get a medal at Worlds thus showing they could get an Olympic medal, which seems very very unlikely, they might have a shot. But, that's just not something I see as having a strong likelihood of happening.
Tanith was way more accomplished and had been living in the US for almost 8 years. The way things were going she was going to miss out on yet another Olympics because of the law being changed if she had tried for her green card two years later the process would have gone faster. Luckily Senator Carl Levin stepped in and a amendment was passed that allowed her to be sworn in as a US citizen on Dec 31 2005 instead of waiting until 2007.We're not strings pulled for Tan?
OMGwell that's the kicker.
Efimova and Mitrofanov would need a podium at worlds this year to get her citizenship expedited. Nothing less.
If they do so, granted it's in Boston, they may get more publicity from it and it may work in their favour.
she doesn't have it and parkman doesn't eitherOMG
I didn’t know Efimova didn’t have her citizenship
Is she from Finland?
That would be sad… I have this team as the team that can secure USA gold at the Teams event, over Japan, at the Olympics.
