2025 European Championships Free Dance

I don't really see how they can represent Spain, they aren't from there, don't train there, its just ridiculous. Germany would have made more sense.

When Val / Kazimov and Smart / Dieck were announced, everybody was expecting it to be a direct swap - Asaf from Germany to Spain, and Olivia from Spain to Germany. That Spain ended up with both partnerships was a massive shock for everybody. Especially since Tim's family have close ties with the German Fed.

If it had gone as expected, both countries would have ended up in a strong position with two good partnerships each.

But, hey. It is what it is.

With or without headwear, watching someone skate to the Jeannie theme would actually be fun. 🤔

Wouldn't it just! Especially if whoever was portraying Jeannie was as playful as Barbara Eden was.

Although, I don't think the officials would take too kindly to the amount of flesh on show if they copied Jeannie's proper costume:

Franky speaking, I only like Finns' program in the last group. And maybe French for intricacy. The rest is really NO this season for me.

Apologies, I didn't realise she already had citizenship. I just don't like money ruling sports, although it frequently does these days.
Olivia has been a Spanish citizen for 8 years. And as depressing as it is, money has always ruled sports, especially ones like skating, which are expensive and inaccessible in many countries.
In this case though, Olivia came to Spain not because of the Spanish federation's money or her own, but because she found a partner who just so happened to be Spanish (Adrian Diaz), and that's how most country changes in partnered disciplines happen.

To be fair, Germany hit the jackpot with Savchenko/ Massot in a similar situation
