Sorry, the top 3 will be based on the total for several events, and not just Jr Nats. Though not much things might change.By the way, top 3 in singles is invited to Channel One Cup.
So congrats to Lev, Arseniy, Makar, Elena, Alisa and Sofia.
I don't think I've seen Alisik's parents.Does Alisa have small parents like Adelia? She's not much taller than 13 year old girls like Elena and Margo. It might bode well for her in seniors. I think the only senior women that will be able to have multiple quads in the future are women like Adelia (assuming the ISU don't change the rules which they probably will if Adelia and Alisa dominated for years with multiple quads).
I don't follow dance, and I know nothing about it, but that last couple seemed like that were just fantastic-as good as the ones winning senior dance?Poor Maleina. The twizzles in the RD were crucial.
Well they are not bad but only won because of the previous duo's mistake in the rhythm dance.I don't follow dance, and I know nothing about it, but that last couple seemed like that were just fantastic-as good as the ones winning senior dance?
When you are 13 you have your heart set on skating to music piece A or B, even if it is too mature or too fast. Neither of Lena's programs are right for Lena, but Carmine Burana isn't right for Margo either. (Even most men can't keep up with Carmine Burana) Lena is fast and sassy, and she needs music that shows off her personality. Margo needs something with better pacing. Alisa was too nervous for me to enjoy her program, but once she relaxes and lets herself fly she will do great things. Sofia actually made me cry. When she skates I get the 'feels'. I love jumps and athletic skaters, but Sofia is really special. What an interesting championship.
I honestly think I prefer to watch a clean and well-executed program without any ultra-cs than a shaky program. (Petrova or labutina are good examples).
I was surprised by lidia’s 4S and even if she didn’t land it, it was very courageous.
But I was even more surprised by dzepka’s 4T. Like what the f**k?? She was absolutely brilliant and she skates with such a maturity she could be senior.
Alisa is wonderful and it will be very challenging for Adelia next year. Too bad about the 4lz, it may have costed her the gold.
I don’t know what to think about Elena, she did great under pressure and deserves her victory but the performance itself had nothing to do with the one from sofia or Alisa. She was late, not with the music and not really interpreting it. It’s a shame to end the championship like that (especially since she’s usually a great performer).
Still happy with the winner but I’m just frustrated that Alisa never became junior champion.
Maybe next year senior champion ??
Found this from Dec 2023, went digging through her fangroup just for you bud:Does Alisa have small parents like Adelia? She's not much taller than 13 year old girls like Elena and Margo.
