2025 World Championships Women's Short Program

Hmm, both are world medalists; Higuchi with a silver in 2018 and a Japanese judge on the panel and Liu with a bronze in 2022 and home ice, but no American judge on the panel.

Alysa did beat Wakaba recently at 4CC and Wakaba competed at the Grand Prix Final, which Alysa did not qualify for. This ranking feels wrong to me.

As predicted, I feel Samodelkina was underscored. The rest of the skaters (except for maybe Kurakova) will probably score better.

We'll see what happens...

Wow, thank you for teaching me something new about British English! In America "nip and tuck" would refer to the surgery or perhaps to a project that is close to completion ("all it needs is a nip here and a tuck there").

Yeah, those meanings are commonly used over here too. But the original meaning (the way Chris used it) is just as common.

Now that you mention it, I suppose the same phrase being able to be used in so many different ways could get confusing... :p

By the way, I've left again, at the end of the Group 4 Warm-Up. I'll come back to the skating tomorrow morning,
