2025 World Championships Women's Free Skate

You know, I’m sitting here just reminiscing how the USFSA basically dumped Alysa Liu at the Nationals going into the last Olympics and she was picked over for the team event in favor of Karen Chen, who didn’t skate well in either portion, thus missing out on a team Olympic medal. However, Alysa got her revenge by winning a bronze medal at that year’s World Championships and now this result. The greatest revenge is success.
Always time is the best witness and justice take time but it this was the day which arrived that justice

Alysa Liu may be the chillest person in the world, just unbelievable composure. And she is so adorable too, I am really happy for her despite being a Kaori fan, she was fantastic and deserves her moment. Happy for Mone too, I am loving this podium.

I think the soundtrack for this amazing event and the 1st place of Alysa is Alegria by cirque de soleil.. is the right song for celebrate Alysa comeback and triumph.

Like a queen who was absent and in our mind we missed it

Kaori should have had a higher score in the FP.

I agree Alyssa winning across the two programs.
And that I can agree to wholeheartedly. Kaori's pop in the Short made up the missed UR call for Alysa and they didn't call any of her Kaori's Lutzes either.
It's just that the standard for whether the judging is okay shouldn't be at the bare minimum (i.e. skaters in the right order). Else we don't need the IJS anymore and can go back to the 6.0 system, it serves that purpose not much worse than the IJS does.

it was absolutely deserved.
I know, I totally agree :-) I meant it facetiously, as in, who the heck is this skater coming out of nowhere with the audacity to beat Sakamoto and everyone else?! Her team was very smart in choosing these two programs this year. But you had to have the right skater to pull it off that's for sure, and that was alyssa, because all throughout the season her Joy skating that program has been infectious and authentic.
