I believe in life after ice dance judging. Or not.

At least they had the decency to revise TES and make it a little bit more tolerable. I mean C/B skated well but not that good to justify almost 76 in TES. I can live with 73.6.

Well, I'm off to grab something to eat before the men - hopefully, we finish this Worlds with an excellent event! I'm a little worried for the ice dance judges - one should think twice before pissing of Barbara Fusar-Poli. She's probably going to mail them all a stopwatch as a warning before showing up at their homes and giving them The Death Stare™.

No doubt in my mind that C/B won both SP and FS. That came across clearly on the screen. And no doubt that G/P deserved the silver, both segments. IMO, one thing these two had that some of the other teams didn't: program music and composition that were very suited to their respective personalities and styles.

After those two, one can have a spirited debate on the various merits/placements of the rest of the top 10. Standout for me: S/D Dune program, one of my favorites of the season and again, very well suited to them and splendidly choreographed.

Yeah, this competition was bad scoring wise even for Ice Dance standards.

Also, that was an awfully long hug. Yeah, sure, third Worlds win & a win at home, but it does make me wonder if they are anticipating this being their last Worlds.

I am going to complain about LaLa being dumped... not about Madi and Evan winning.

The Mrazek's score is also a bit of a puzzle to me at the moment (I don't know what the protocols will show).

Maybe they really will retire, and not stick it out for another Olympic season. Is that possible? I didn’t think so before today, but…CPom have to be seen as contenders now, don’t they? Given their scores here?

Huge congrats to medallists and hugs for Guignard/Fabbri that barely missed the podium. Also it has to be noted that UK gets its first medal at World Championships in ID since the era of legendary Torvill/Dean

No way do they retire now they are less then a year from the Olympics and they want that Gold medal.

My guess is yes, likely their last Worlds. I expect they will retire after the Olympics.

Madi and Evan skated very well. There is no point saying that they didn't... the problem I have is that it felt like they ddin't even need to skate well... if the judges take away the pressure with such a cushion, they can indeed skate freely. People forget about that... these gaps help them skating with more freedom.

They still have to deliver, so kudos to them.

Totally agree with that.

Charlene and Marco are disappointed and feel that the judging was too harsh for how they skated.
She's in tears, he acknowledges some problems on the twizzles.
They say that being dumped by the judges hurts. They felt that the RD was not their best, but they trusted their FD.
Marco adds that the season was difficult and they need to rest.

Congrats to the champions. I had predicted G/P for a bit of a laugh, but I did prefer their free dance more.

Don't think I will stay up to finish the men's event, to see Yuma get robbed in PCS. But I might start it
