I hope the luck changes for the second group! That first group was more like watching British juniors than Canadian ones,

Tough skate for Emily Lui too. :( I wonder whether she watched her team mate's struggle and then lost her nerve. She is wearing the same plain black as for the short. I hope that her costumes aren't ready yet, rather than her not being able to afford any. I don't mind the plain clothes, but skating is a tough sport for those from poorer families.
She's moved up from Novice this season, so it's her first Junior competition.

With the costumes, several of the skaters have been wearing training clothes instead of costumes or reusing old costumes while the new ones are being made.

Amy looked a bit disappointed with that score. She has at least broken the 100 mark overall, though.

I was too soon in thinking that they'd fixed the axel sequences, the 2T-2A should've been 4.6, not 3.68 :palmf: They had it working for the Junior Men, now it isn't working 😔

I think Addison is a better skater than she showed there. Hopefully it will come together for her next time.

In how many times the Women Senior Free skate will be ?
Supposedly 14:15 Vancouver time, but I wouldn't trust it. They had some withdrawals since they did the schedule and were ahead of time yesterday. Both senior men and senior women started early. It might be safest to assume they will today as well.

Nice 3Lo from Konstantina. Hopefully the Next Gen selectors will notice it even though it wasn't in the SP.

nice skate for Calissa but the "i don't belong" lyrics are not good... does she or does she not belong to next gen.... ?

Bit of a rough skate for Calissa. :( I was so hoping that she would get to Next Gen this year. She's given them an excuse to not select her now, if they want one.

I think they've selected the team already, the Carandiucs posted a reel of skating in their new NextGen team jackets.

She (and the other Kelowna Junior Women) scored about where 5-7 scored at the 2024 NextGen competition, so I don't think it would take her out of it based on today.
