2025 BC Super Series Summer Skate | Aug 14-17

Maybe not a JGP spot, but a Junior B. There's two spots left and they may want to send Hannah/Megan/Victoria (for a 2nd assignment).
Wait a moment…..
I thought there were three spots left?

Victoria, Ksenia Got spots.
Did they give one to Reese already?

I’m still praying for Calissa and Quinn Startek 🙏

Also, Konstantina Lock did well too. Nailing her 3Lo, 3T 2T and 2A. I’m still mad they didn’t add her to Next Gen roster 😡

Also, I completely forgot David Howes competed. He is my fave Junior boy. He didn’t do well and it is my fault for not lighting a candle for him, as I wasn’t prepared

Camila has a spot too, she was assigned to Riga (likely before NextGen). That's three spots taken. There are no spots at JGP Baku (Canada will only have 1 Ice Dance team there). That leaves Gdansk and Abu Dhabi.

Looking at the alternates for Bangkok, the pool for the remaining spots looks to be Sandrine, Uxia, Hannah, Reese, Hetty and Megan. Lulu hasn't been on the alternates since Riga. Megan is coming off injury (she talked about it during her NextGen interview) and had the highest scoring free skate of the Canadian women at Cranberry. Hannah was able to get her Junior Worlds minimums, so they may want to give her a chance. Plus Victoria is competing this weekend and could keep up the scoring gap she has with the other Junior Women.

I'm watching the Junior Men now and I think some of them really needed candles :( David Li was hard to watch.

I forgot about Camila. She didn’t do to well at Cranberry 😞

I guess since Quinn and Calissa are not on the substitute list, I should give up on their JGP ambitions.

If I was Skate Canada, I would send Victoria to a second JGP event, if she scores over 155. Reese for the last spot. But, secretly I hope they send Megan again.

For the boys, it is obvious William Chan is our fifth best junior boy. If he doesn’t score over 180 here, I would give a second JGP spot, to the best performing boy out of David, Grayson, Anthony and Edward. However, William is young and could use the experience. So, 60/40 against sending William out to JGP circuit.

Ok. Time for me to catch up watching these skates. I will be smiling since I know how well some of them did already.

what's with all the Clair de lune this year ? Crazy stuff...
Checking ClicknClear (the ISU's preferred platform for music clearance) for the Clair de lune related works, Bloodstream is on there along with Photograph. It clears easily.

i sort of expected such an answer :)
i love debussy. one of my favourite composers... but i prefer skaters who stick with the real stuff... the original piece can fit very well a LP... and you know... it's been done by one of my fave teams so I am thankful for them

not a lot ot triples landed for Calissa this time. Huge talent but needs more experience before getting a JGP IMHO

Damn it!!
Lighting those candles didn’t work.
Again, the BC athletes justify why not to be sent to JGP circuit.

Uxia got injured at her last competition and had to withdraw from free skate. So, I’m not too shocked with her result.

I say give the two JGP spots to: Victoria (2nd one) and Reese
