This year's theme is the 90's. But, I was getting such an 80's vibe from that programme. The music, the costumes, everything.

And then I looked at when the songs were released - 1990. So, I was right in thinking they were from the 80's (1981 to 1990).

Sorry Samantha, I don't like your dress. The colours are nice, but the pattern isn't. I preferred Daniel's costume.

It was still hyper popular in 92-93 for instance. Release dates, especially in the era before internet, youtube etc can be seen as much later because it was "slower" releases versus right now, as everything can be launched instantly worldwide

Judy cuts slack to no one. I once said that if Torvill and Dean were skating in their prime, and Judy Bloomberg saw a Level 2 step sequence, she'd call it as such without hesitation.

I certainly consider the 80s to mean 80-89. Maybe it's different in the UK?

I don't know. It's not a thing I've ever thought of asking anybody. But, I always think of decades the same way as you count on your fingers - starting at 1 and going to 10.

No, you are wrong here. She is an absolute stickler, and she does not care. People don't like it when she's the caller at US Nats because she's just as brutal there, and of course that's not the vibe USFSA wants (apparently). Everyone is called consistently to her very high standards.
