Right, my only kid at this event is in this group. So, I have to keep my eyes out for her.
Ah, good. Zhasmin is the only one wearing a red jacket. And she's kept it on.
When the camera focussed on her, she did a lovely individual jump. Followed by a lovely combination jump.
When the focus moved to another skater, we saw her nicely landing a jump in the background.
She's taken the jacket off now to reveal a beautiful black dress... which ends in tassels.
But, we didn't get to see her doing any more elements.
I'm intrigued to see the effect created by the dress when it moves during the spins and jumps.

I can see the work she's done on her second mark, it's first time I saw some expression and interpretation attempt, last season it was only jumps.

Weronika is another whose costume switches between red and orange depending on the camera, it seems. Is the front of the costume supposed to be a lion's face? The top pieces make me think of flame tree flowers. 3F-2T to start, and a nice 2A. She has nice spins as well. A pas de chat-like hop at the start of her step sequence with a big smile on her face. She ends bang on the music, nicely done.

What does this panel have against Axels? 
Like, that was not a bad Axel (and neither was Arina's Axel that got like +0.04 in GOE or so).
Still, that was a pretty strong skate for Weronika, well done.

Sama's costume colours and the way they run into each other remind me of my sartorial choices at the turn of the millenium. Starts with a 2Lo, misses the combo due to having to do a turn out of the flip. Unexpected fall in her ch combo spin, but she rather styled it out I thought. She persevered to the end despite the challenges with the technical elements; I liked the twizzles she did into her finishing pose.

Beautiful dress. Beautiful music.
Yes, there were issues when it came to the skating. But she was just loving being out there.
And she is still so happy when waiting for her scores.
She goes into 19th position.

Hyewon is a tight jumper and she showed that and more today, well done on your JGP debut girlie. Presentation will have to follow but I'm giving her time

Hyewon has a fantastic costume, more peacock than swan to me. She races across the ice into a big 3Lz-3T. Her jumps are solid, and a good size. She has great spins as well. Stream keeps freezing which is aggravating, as it breaks up her dramatic step sequence. Wonderful ending spin. She has theatricality galore; what a great performance.
