Arina opens with an extended passage of choreography before her big 3Lz-3T. She has a pretty Biellmann. Besti squat after the spin and arabesque spiral before the loop, which has a turn to a forward lunge out of it. Once again, I like her catch foot twizzle to illusion turn in her step sequence. A season's best for her!

In all seriousness, I really enjoyed the first half of the programme, when Arina KALUGINA (AZE) was skating to Lana.

But that version of "Crazy In Love" in the second half was an abomination! It ruined the programme for me.

The skating more than made up for it, though.

I just realised something. Arina looks so much like my youngest kid, Olivia Bazlova (CYP). (I really want to know when Olivia will be in action! I am getting impatient to see her programmes for this season!)

Anyway, Arina goes into 2nd position.
