Let's say that point is valid (just as a cover of a song can be worse than the original the costume can be worse than the inspiration, but for the arguement I'll consent), but Madonna was pioneering something new while that ugly yet unmemorable costume was not. Aesthetic tastes are up to the person and good for you if you find the costume great, but I will call a costume ugly if it is ugly to my eyes

I think those days are long gone. With moves to try to make the sport more popular and appeal to a younger audience, they're not going to do waltzing.
