2025 Grand Prix de France Free Dance

Again, technically very strong (though I suspect that his back isn't what it used to be, hence the simplified lifts) but I reiterate that they do not have the chemistry of P/C and trying to be P/C 2.0 is not helping with my perception of them as a team... judges will push them up to be Olympic gold contenders though

My own opinion but he is better she is more hanging with. I do not mean she is no bad but G is just on another level.
I disagree. Guillame looks softer, because he is bending more forwards. I understand it's a lyrical style, but I have no idea when real ice dance posture was abandoned. I much prefer the posture of Lewis or Marco where they keep their hips forward and stay vertical in the posture (with body movement included rather than replacing skating technique)

Does she even have french citizenship? Can she geit it so quickly?

Gabi & Gui were together as young kids, there is no way Laurence can compete with that so there is no point in comparing that. They may have decided to go a more abstract route instead.

You never liked them though, you were always put off by them? It feels like you're just looking for more excuses to dislike them further. Yes their twizzles were slow, but their one foot covered exceptional ice, their choreo elements and lifts were incredible. They used less holds than last season, because the judges seemingly didn't like so much holds in FDs across the board and preferred open skating. Gabby and guillame had way more open programs than that that won world championships. but still, they had lots of difficult movement in holds and around each other. Their actual holds were more close to each other than the other couples holds...

They were insanely undermarked in the FD relative to the others, even if some things weren't perfect. And they took all the feedback from last year.

Now I have defended their skating... that being said... what were they thinking? To be posting what they posted in their instagram stories in the middle of the competition. You don't insult the judges then expect them to give you points. If they hadn't posted the stuff to instagram, I imagine they'd have 125+. Unfortunately, the blame lies with them.
Look we are allowed to have different opinions. I just find the constant discussion that judging is rigged boring when the marks don’t go a team’s way. Diana and Gleb have fallen below Charlene and Marco so where is the discussion of rigging now? Chock and Bates are not my favourite team but I can see why they have been winning. I actually like Charlene and Marco but I have never been drawn in by their programmes.

IIRC she has both French and Canadian citizenship, but I am currently in the state where I confuse Andy Lau with Tony Leung so don't trust me too much
