2025 Grand Prix de France Free Dance

Gabi & Gui were together as young kids, there is no way Laurence can compete with that so their is no point in comparing that. They may have decided to go a more abstract route instead.
I would argue that if you can't build up the chemistry that was accumulated over the years in less than two years you're supposed to go for a different style and when P/C had so many abstract lyrical programs the comparison is inevitable, but I have to watch Saulius and Allison

IIRC she has both French and Canadian citizenship, but I am currently in the state where I confuse Andy Lau with Tony Leung so don't trust me too much
I don´t think she has French citizenship yet, because she didn´t at the beginning of their partnership. I think we would have heard if it was the case. But there was something about her having a French relative, so it might not be a issue for her.

I am putting my feelings about off-ice things aside and just commenting on the skating. I thought the program was lovely but maybe a bit one note. I do love a good abstract, environmental theme so don't hate me.
Yeah I agree - I actually enjoyed it more than I thought - they really are sublime skaters but the programme maybe didn’t have enough light and shade for me.

Her dad lives in France so I think that is supposed to make it somewhat easier for her

Ali & Saul are two of the most out of the box skaters in ice dance. Techno music fused with philosophy and unusual creative moves and intricate changes of hold. The two of them rotating around each other a lot all while having an existential discussion. So unusual and different - I love it. There is no one else like them in ice dance today.
