She put herself together a little in the second half, but the loss from the beginning could not have been replaced.

Falls, voiceovers, overall skating needs a lot of work, but kudos to Yi Zhu for holding the spiral positions.

Yes, it's general.

Unfortunately, this has been a bit of a repeating pattern for Yi Very strong SP, then a difficult start to the FS. She's good at adjusting her layout, though, she always manages to get in all of her combos at some points.

She's such a lovely skater, I hope she can one day put together two strong skates.

There's still Nationals and 4CC, so she'll have a few more chances this season, at least. (I think the Olympics are unlikely now, she'd have to beat Ruiyang by a lot at Nats).

What's going on today? Short programs were kinda good without any big mistake, but today it's horrible...

A rough second half from Haien, there were a lot of doubles and she'll have some carrots in there. She seems far more comfortable in this program, there's a freedom of movement throughout that's really effective. I do have beef with Haien over the music, though. In the ISU bio, she lists the Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame, which has an amazing soundtrack. But nope, instead we get regular old for four minutes and the good music for like 10 seconds at the beginning.

My girl, that was not the skate she needed, and I wish it had been. And I really think that Carmen free skate suited her better.
