Starr Andrews moves to pairs

am I the only one just now finding out that this is Starr Andrews’s last season as a single skater and that she has announced that she’ll be moving to pairs?? I’m pretty shocked and did not see this coming at all, I feel like she’s really thrived as a singles skater!

Before Andrews turns the page on her prolific singles career, the 24-year-old has some exciting opportunities in front of her. First up is Skate America, the eleventh Grand Prix assignment of her career, and this season, she has been selected to sing the national anthem in front of the Lake Placid, New York, crowd.

“It will be my first real public performance, so I am working with a vocal coach to help me get ready,” she said. “I’m excited to have this opportunity and to get myself out there.”

Not going to lie, I'm going to miss her in singles. She's one of my favorite skaters, and I always look forward to her programs because they stand out (as does her skating and generally positive vibes she gives on the ice and in the KnC)
But it's good to know we'll keep seeing her around

I've always liked Starr, but it's been hard for her to compete with the top US women. She's still young enough to have a decent length career in pairs, if it works out. I wonder if she's got a partner lined up.

yup, I'm thorn, they would be great team but... about Olivia she always has the same wide smile, whatever music they are skating to, I know she is very young and some things just come with time, but this is awkward

Was very happy that Starr had such a beautiful program freeskate this past weekend. But I really am looking forward to her skating pairs.
