The real battle after Chock and Bates no matter what they do with their fd they still will win is if CP will win silver over the Canadians. This could affect the GP final (assuming you have Chock and BAtes; Fear and gibson; the Lithuainians, Piper and Paul, the French, so one of these second American or Canadian teams are fighting it out for the last sp ot probably in the Finals.

There’s also the rise of Zingas/Kolesnik, who could clinch the GPF spot with a bronze next week in Finland. They already have more points from skating clean and winning silver at Cup of China than both L/L and C/P do from Skate Canada where they both skated unimpressively in the RD.

At this event alone LaLa, CPom, DM/M and L/B are all teams that have shown up this quad and should be higher up in the world standings as they have had the programs, energy and technique to be top ranked.

Don't expect everyone to agree with this hot take but damn, there have been some numbers (Perfume! White Crow! Etc...) that really were/are podium-worthy.
