The highest level of pattern steps was 2 and only two teams got it (LB and Browns).
Bock is the only team who got levels 2 for both skaters in MiSteps, the rest got 1+1 or 1+2.

Which is depressing as it wasn't that good. This Olympics is going to be a bust in all disciplines.

While I hope that is not true, I have to say this RD '90s theme is not really working for me so far.

People may question LaLa's jock program but 1): it's a hilarious take on a difficult RD brief this year 2) Marjo is killing it as a cheerleader 3) you can't say that with their White Crow FD that this team doesn't have range!

I actually think showing their program range is important in demonstrating their podium worthiness.

I admire their range. But their RD music reminds me of what annoys me about watching sports on tv.

I think I've said this twice in the last few weeks, but I HATE this Rhythm Dance theme so much. I don't like ANY of these programs.

Today was my first look at ID this season. Lots of loud, screechy "music" that I don't remember from the '90s...except for Lenny Kravitz, and I heard a bit of George Michael. Still can't understand Gabby when she's speaking over the music.

Wow, C/P’s consistent low scores this season must be encouraging for Z/K and G/P.

When compared to their Stevie Nicks RD, this year's material, is just beneath them, not in their wheelhouse.

It seems the Mrazeks changed the lyrics on the AI-generated portion of their music; hopefully this is enough for them to avoid any copyright situations.

And as always, I love their speed and attack!

That should be enough because copyright protect words of a song. No words, no problem. Glad they reacted fast to the problem.

La/La didn't just got the memo. They did something with it. Still think they should dress her as a cheerleader. It won't fix the juinior feel of the dance, but at least she won't look like they were invited to the JGP to represent Kyrgizstan.

There is some urgent messaging the judges are sending C/P this year. A hundredth of a point ahead of M/M, lower than a young French team... not good. Pushing them and Italians to retire?

I like L/B better than La/La, but I think they missed opportunity to get some 90s French music. There had to be something dancy and popular in France? I mean, I only remember Kaas, and she was too lyrical, but... there had to be something.

I know. I saw it live. It is all that. I just want them to change costumes so they actually look like a senior team at the high point rather than the unassuming costuming they have. They need to come on ice as the team ready to be Canada's number 1, not these jerseys. It just doesn't look like a statement.

Edit: I mean, look at the Americans. They might not have the best dance ever, but they look the part of a senior team with champion ambitions.

I am concerned for Christina and Anthony about the selection of music for both their RD and FD. It doesn't do justice to their strengths. Maybe too late to do anything about it other than build on the judges feedback.

Have you ever seen them live? Their problem is that they do not havs live presence at all. Or at least they didn't when I saw it.

Technical calling has been strict this year with the exception of the GP of China and selected teams at GP France. However, this competition was the harshest yet. Browns had the highest BV which is not surprising given their very strong SS and good edges. Judges still just managed to use GOE to put whoever they wanted in front since basically everyone got low scores. I think C/B were a lot better here. As normal for them, they do difficult choreo and holds and it takes time to be really smooth out the program. It will score higher by GPF.
