I like strictness but this was insane and I don't like athletes being treated like that. It's so incosistent, those teams are fighting for olympics spots and those results play them dirty. I hope this guy won't be judging at olympics or any other major competition soon.

This score is crazy!

For all the conspiracy theorists, I can see why it looks like a lot of US teams - namely C/B, Z/K and Shibs have benefitted from Shawn Restatt being on the tech panel the last two weeks…how was C/B last week better than this FD (and I really liked their FD last week but c’mon, they’re not there yet with it).

Can I just say what phenomenal skaters Zingas and Kolesnik are. Vadyms leg lines perfectly extended on almost every push, Emelias movement and artistic expression.
The program could be better structured for a stronger build, but they are certainly going to be one of the strongest teams this coming quad...

Yep they might be one of the teams to keep a eye on for 2030 it feels like Emilea has now started to catch up with Kolesnik as a skater considering she's only been doing Ice Dance for about 3 years now.

There again, neither does Olivia and Tim with an "E"'s "Dune" programme that everybody seems to love.

Piper & Paul and Emilea & Vadym both had far better Free Dance programmes. And they should have been on the top two steps.

I am becoming seriously disllusioned with all the politics of Ice Dance.

it's also toxic... telling world champions/medallsts and olympic champions that they actually cannot skate better than juniors is crazy. It sends the wrong message to young athletes too.

Why bother spending years mastering turns when one has absolutely no control on how they will get judged ? Seriously.

They won the FS and are 1st overall so far. But it is not a good score for them for an Olympic year.

IMHO, it is way too soon to call this. Let the real race begin at the GPF. Hunger Games Part II awaits us.

I loved both Piper/Paul and the French.

FB/C looked better here to me than in their first Grand Prix but their score was a lot lower. The mystery of ice dance scoring...
